The funeral wake is officially over after we collected popo's ashes from Mandai columbarium this morning.

Did you know that ashes is actually pieces of bones and not actually powder that we see in shows?

The person was showing us where the different part of the bones are from and starting for R's dad, everyone took turns according to your 辈分 to put a piece of popo into the urn. 孙媳妇 aka me is the smallest and furthest in terms of 辈分 and relation so I went last.
On the first day of the wake, R wanted to have a decor table where he could display photos of popo with the family. He needed to put some stuff on the table so it wasn't so empty. He asked me to write something and I wrote this 👆. I completed this piece on 1 try because I simply didn't have the time to redo it.

I would say the funeral wake was really very nice. We hung photos on twine across 4 pillars with fairy light, scented candles on the table with this frame and a TV showing 📸 montage.
I finally got myself some tools for embossing and tried them out when I took a 15 mins toilet break during the wake. I had to use the embossing pen to do it and it's not a brush pen so I couldn't do the usual calligraphy.

While I did this piece, R was already texting me asking me where I was. Lol. So I didn't have time to redo and here it is in its original state. If I have enough time, I will redo a nicer one haha.
Anyway these phrases are from nehohmee's feb #calligrafriendswrite challenge.
Love is indeed messy especially when it involves so many people i.e. Family. 家家有本难念的经 😥
If anyone is interested. Haha
