• Spring Makeup Trend: Blue Eyeshadow

  At Marc by Marc Jacobs, models wore a stunning statement lid in rich, solid blue from lash line to crease. The color was created with Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Ice, patted onto lids, creating a crescent shape just above creases and topped with a layer of Curacao (from the Shiseido Eye Color Bar Compact). At Badgley Mischka, powdery blue shades were layered to create a disco-like look.

Spring 2014 is filled with colours that pop and are so fun to play with. Blue eyeshadow is definitely one of the most interesting colour since it creates a really stark contrast with my warm undertone. I thought the look above was really pretty but I wanted something more wearable. People rarely put on makeup in Singapore, even if they do, it's usually very subtle and simple. 

So, to recreate this simple yet trendy spring look, read on further!

1. I lined my upper lash line with Maybelline gel liner so that my eyes look bigger. I love to extend the ends out slightly longer so that it will elongate my eyes but at the same time I will make it such that the eyeliner on the middle portion of my eyelid is rounder just so my eyes look round and long. Haha. 

 2. As simple as the previous step, I used my Catrice Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in 110 Blue I know You? by laying it right on above the black eyeliner. It should not exceed your double eyelid line so that is it visible yet subtle.

Viola! This is what you get. An easy to create, subtle yet trendy spring 2014 makeup!
