Venice Italy Day 7
Venice, Italy Day 7

Caffè Florian (Florian)
Had one of the best breakfast in Italy at Florian in San Marco, Venice. I found a must eat by chance in Venice (cod paste) and love it the moment it went into my mouth.

I'm too lazy to switch the clock back so just going to continue here. Haha.
After breakfast, we roamed around St Marks Basilica and took some pictures. We didn't go in because there was a queue and we (I) are already quite sick of the same buildings.

On the left is the Doge's Palace, on the right is the tower.
The benches on the left that people were sitting on are actually elevated pavements for people to walk on when the square floods.

We did not take the Gondola because the price is ridiculous at 80€. We just took the vaporetto around the islands on the next day. Serves the same purpose anyway.
We cannot go into the small alleys but it doesn't matter.

We took the day quite chill, just walked around and started shopping. I bought a dip pen and wax seal here.
R was fascinated by the stuff and bought one set of wax seal for his bro.

The famous Rialto Bridge.

Doing what tourists must do.

I couldn't take ang mo food anymore and needed to eat some Chinese food. I googled and this was 2nd on tripadvisor.

A very familiar sound when we stepped in... Mahjongggggg hahahaha
After we ordered, they stopped playing to cook for us. Haha!

It wasn't a fantastic meal but passable. #dayrefatties

It probably wasn't the best time to visit since it's winter and the day is really short. 5pm and the sky is dark.
We passed by this shop and thought the little figurines were very cool but we didn't buy any.

We visited thd oldest book shop on the island as recommended by my sis. The owner built these steps himself but too bad, the sky was dark so phone camera can't really capture the colours.

.

This was the most expensive dinner we had the entire trip. We ordered a tasting menu at 95€ per pax excluding tax, service charge and what not.
The food was nice but not mind blowing. We thought the server was rather racist towards us because he was very happy and enthusiastic when talking to other ang mo but very aloof and I would say hao lian when talking to us.
It was probably because R poured vinegar into his super expensive olive oil. Hahahaha
