'Beach' morning/Taobao haul 2 Part 2

Our yogurt parfait this morning.
I've learnt to eat so many things after I knew R. I used to be very very very picky with food.
I don't eat anything raw, nothing dairy at all, no beef, no lamb, no brinjal, no tomato, basically anything that goes into a salad, no.
But now, I've learnt to eat Korean marinated beef, yogurt, salmon sashimi, salad (only with Jap salad dressing), tomato etc. Which explains my fatness. R made me fat!

Second batch came yesterday but only two because I thought it was going to be super heavy so I separated them. Don't know if it was a good idea.
Anyway, this thing weighs like maybe few hundred grams but the freaking box that was containing it was v heavy. Damn. I paid shipping for a cardboard box.

It's ok, I'll use it to decorate our new room. R's room is going to be renovated. We are hacking down a wall that'd separating the other room so we will have a huge ass room! Woo!

The last of this batch is this top that took the longest to get to ezbuy. Everything was already with ezbuy and the seller still haven't 发货, make until I 发火.
I messaged them to ask when they're going to ship and they were like oh, you have to wait for your turn. 🙁 but why so long? Eventually, they did ship it out.

NUS camps

Just saw this article and felt very sad about the situation.
Tbh, I've never been to my own faculty camp because I chose to go NUSSU Camp instead. I think the way they carry out the camp is somewhat similar.
To be exact, I went to NUSSU Camp once as freshie and twice as OGL. I even crashed during my last year in uni.
I made many friends in the camp. In fact, they became my closest uni friends even until now.
Tbh, I've never been to my own faculty camp because I chose to go NUSSU Camp instead. I think the way they carry out the camp is somewhat similar.
To be exact, I went to NUSSU Camp once as freshie and twice as OGL. I even crashed during my last year in uni.
I made many friends in the camp. In fact, they became my closest uni friends even until now.
Some of my friends are saying that most of the photos that were posted were not even from NUS. IDK how true that is but other than dunking people in the water, which u could get away easily just by saying you don't want or you're not feeling well, I've never seen other stuff that the article mentioned happening during all the camps that I went.
It is simply ridiculous to just suspend all the camps. FOP Committees are formed at least one semester in advance.

Students burn their December holidays, summer holidays (may to july), forgo internship / part time opportunities to plan for the all the different FOP. It is one of the biggest events in NUS.
I can totally vouch for that as I was in the NUSSU RAG Committee when we went to the Promontory on National day back in 2011.
All project proposals have to go through approval and the approvals are not easy.

You want to get money from the School, you have to prove that you have done your due diligence.
Everything that u buy, u need to produce at least 3 quotations to make sure it's the cheapest. Every game u intend to let the participants play need to be vet through by the 'higher up' clearly stating what's the point of the game, exactly how it's going to be carried out.
It is not easy when u need to juggle school and all the planning.

You have to learn to become thick skin to ask for sponsorship, meet up with people and ask for discounts, convince the others who they should allow u to do certain things that u plan to.

I don't even think this sticking to the wall game was organised by the Committee. We, as the participants, came up with this game during the camp.
So, if it's just a few individuals who, like us, came up with some games to play, why blame the organisers?
Come on, everyone there is at least 19, we all have a mind of our own. We can say No to whatever games we felt uncomfortable with.

I know there is a baseline that we shouldn't cross but I don't think banning the whole FOP camps is the solution.
The school management just couldn't be bothered to come up with a better solution?

We are even attending each other's weddings now.

I'm just rambling already. Idk why I still feel so mad when I already graduated so long ago and it has nothing to do with me anymore.
