Some of the parts were kinda cool but we didn't get to play. Haiz. The rest was so so. There was no army tanks, no fly past (boo) and fireworks blocked by a mega screen.
R being a fool likes to do this to my photos.

Taobao haul 2 Part 1
You know the excitement when you get to unwrap presents? This is how I feel when I unwrap my #taobao haul. Spent a bomb this time round again but it's going to be the end of summer soon so I keep justifying to myself that it's ok.
Though most of the stuff are not clothes. I still have 2 more haul on the way.

I emailed ezbuy to ask about it and they said I didn't include it in the previous order which I did. But whatever, they found it really quickly and sent over with the rest of my stuff! Yay!

Sunday life
My family went for a lunch together at Saveur yesterday. My mom likes their duck confit and my sister had Jap class in town so she chose the outlet at far east.
4 of us got lunch set while R had ala carte.

Ray had pork belly which imo is not gd as well. I prefer pacamara's pork belly.
The dessert was lavender creme brulee. This was not bad.
One of my #taobao hair accessory from my previous haul. The quality is not bad and it adorns my hair quite nicely. I didn't get a better photo of it so this is it.

I went for bridesmaid dress choosing yesterday for seaweed's wedding. She got a good deal from her photographer who threw in free bridesmaid dress rental. Woah! Like that also can. Haha 😀

After the fitting, I popped by my makeup artist teacher's shop nearby (on the same level) for a quick chat because I haven't seen her in awhile. She told me to let her know when I'm having the banquet and she will do my makeup for me for free. 😍😍😍

We went to coastal settlement at first but all agreed that we don't want to pay $20 for Nasi lemak and moved on to Changi village for $2.50 legit Nasi lemak. Hahahaha

Funny story
This happened when I was traveling in USA back in 2012.
R was doing NOC at Silicon Valley so I thought why not just fly over to travel around since I wouldn't go on my own.
I went twice that year, once during summer and once during winter.

So, during the winter trip, we traveled to the East coast with his NOC friends and one of the stops was Washington DC.
One of the NOC dude is a foodie so he was always the one looking for nice places to eat on yelp.
He found this Italian restaurant that was supposed to be very affordable because we were poor students back then so we cant eat at fanciful places.
After walking around a few museums, we decided to have dinner at this Italian restaurant.

All was well, we went in, sat down, ordered our tap water.
Then, when we started looking at what we can order..... Woah! We were blown away because it was freaking expensive. Like 60usd (I don't remember the exact price) for a pasta kind of expensive.
We couldn't afford it so we discussed among ourselves if we wanted to spend that much or just walk away. But being the 'save face' Singaporeans, we thought it would be very paiseh to leave after sitting down and all.

We ate there in the end and totally no regrets. One of the best white wine vongole I ever had in ma life.
The portions were family size so everyone could share. Each serving of the pasta is meant for 3 to 4 people. So it is affordable in a way.
