unemployed day 3

Productive unemployed day 3 is starting with a watercolour class with YK! 😊 I was also lucky enough to get a grab hitch so I don't need to walk super far to take 858 then change 88. It's really not easy to get from Yishun to Pasir Ris. Furthermore it's from a ulu part of Yishun to a ulu part of Pasir Ris.

After the class, I'm going to go to a police post to collect the case report that was filed on wedding night. Urrgh

Then, to CASE. Busy day.

Went to police post only to find out that I have to go to the HQ to buy the report. Wts. Then, I gave the officer more details on why I need the report then he told me that I can just give CASE the report number.

So I'm on another grab now omw to Ghim Moh but jobless me can only grab share so I have to go Orchard first. Sian

On a happier note, I completed another class with YK successfully and he was so patient with me. Lol.

I requested to learn how to paint floral wreath and that's what we did today. I feel like I'm a pro now. Jk.

It's really not that easy since I don't have 艺术细胞. Well, I can use the time that I have now to practise.

It rained suddenly and caused a stupid jam. I was basically too late and case closed. Siannnnn

So continuing from what I learnt at the lesson with YK today. I had lesson from 11am to 2pm with him today and I requested for floral wreath.

He prepared the lesson with 2 wreaths examples and multiple leaves, flowers etc for me to prac.

He also introduced to me the different types of colours and paints that he thinks will be suitable for me but I bought a pentel one lol to try first. Will start investing in better paints when I'm zai. Now I'm still a noob.

This is the final product at the end of the lesson. The vines were really not easy. I tried on my own at home after and it didn't turn out well. Just scroll down and you'll see. Don't have the same feel. Well, more prac it is.

This is his version while he demonstrated to me how to do all the strokes and I just followed but obviously mine is still vvvvv amateur.

I tried to do a simple wreath at home and it turned out OK. Not too ugly.

I've already arranged for one more lesson this coming Friday. Haha. Unemployed but busier than when I was working.

This was the attempt at drawing the vines but failed. Went a little too far. Haha. Too many vines.

unemployed day 4

Arranged for eyelash touch-up today with Xue Zhen. I found her on budget brides fb group and it's my best find ever. She did my lashes for my wedding and it only cost me $65 including her travel fee to ulu Yishun, OCC no less. Haha.

It has been about 2 weeks since I did the lashes and it's actually still holding up quite well but she's going overseas in 2 days and I'm going to Italy next week so just touch up first.

Only the inner part of the lashes dropped off because I've been rubbing my eyes in the middle of the night.

The last time I did a set with her it lasted for 1.5 months because I was really diligent, I didn't let water touch the lashes and I comb the lashes everyday without fail.

I tried doing elsewhere like Lee Ka Ja but they only lasted for 1 week and cost me 100 over dollars. Xue Zhen was not in sg when I need the lashes to be done so got no choice.

For the quality of lashes that I get plus she comes to my house to do it, the money is really worth it. She has opened slots for CNY and I very kiasu booked on 14 Feb morning so I'll look nice on V day and CNY. Haha

Now I only need to put foundation and eyebrow powder and I'm ready to leave the house.

 CASE 

Currently sitting at case waiting for my turn to talk to the officer. I wonder what they can help us with.

Finally done with case and omw to get my hair treatment at Night Shade.

So, the CASE officer advised me to ask for 15 to 20% refund and they will do on our behalf. I paid for a one year CASE membership so they can do it on our behalf and also a small admin fee.

After recounting the whole event to the officer, he was also really sympathetic because we paid for a wedding dinner but only got a dinner without wedding part of it.

He said that if their negotiations fail then we can move on to

Small claims tribunal but the max you can claim there is up to 10k and is entirely up to the judge how much he/she wants to give you. We will see how it goes from here but we have definitely become active detractors of this chain of restaurants and I'm sure all my friends who stayed behind with us will be as well.

I feel like a broken recorder but it was a NIGHTMARE wedding for me and R so I cannot stop harping about it. I think maybe 30 years later we will still remember it.

Doing my olaplex treatment at nightshade now. I saw an article last December about a girl who started a salon to help people bleach hair at more affordable price. I am easily swayed by such articles so here I am laying on the chair and basin waiting for the treatment to do its magic.

This has become such a common scene these days. Every other week we will be at the ward hoping for some miracle to happen. We sit here, helpless. There is nothing we can do to alleviate the pain.

Old age is difficult if you're not healthy.

No money taitai day 5 morning was spent watercolour painting again with YK. It took me 3 hours and 15 mins to complete this small piece. My neck is aching at the moment. Seriously, no joke.

On my way home now, gonna grab lunch then plan the Italy trip 💪🏻
