Popped by popular after going to the bank to drop some cheques wanting to buy some PSLE tys but ended up with these instead.

I wanted to get all three books by Kevin Kwan but they don't have stocks. Bleh. Thought google will be my best friend in finding the other two in epub versions but didn't find any at all.

I read Lean In when Sheryl Sandberg first published it so why not the second one, right?

Bali (again) - Ubud

Our villa is right smack in the middle of rice field. It feels so close to nature when you can hear the crickets in the night.

Our villa is two storey and comes with a pool. Just gonna chill all the way and not think about any work shit.

I had a lot of leftover films from centre's party so I brought my sister's instax camera hoping to get some shots but lol, we only took this as test shot and one other that's over exposed and couldn't be bothered to bring the 📸 out.

We went to Clear Cafe for brunch after bzt/@orezenonat's recommendation.

The interior is truly quite zen. Ambitious R chose to take the seats that are on the ground, said he wanted to try something different. 

After the meal, he complained that his back is aching so we changed to the normal seats.

Some random thing that they left on the table before the food came. Erm... What is this for? I've been to Bali like errrr 6 or 7 times but still haven't figured out what this is. Haha.

We then made a (no bet)bet on who can sit straight the longest. He failed.

R's Prawn fried rice. It was ok, nothing to rave about.

We ordered an extra omelette to share which was quite expensive but to be fair, they put avocado inside.

My tuna dish that the waitress recommended. Sorry, but Idk how to appreciate this 'healthy' food. 

We sat there for about 2h plus before heading out to walk around ubud market. It was not as crowded as Kuta where we always used to go. 

They have a lot of wood products and seriously tried to tok us. He quoted 450k rup for a wooden slab. Omg, we don't even know how to slash price. 😂 another auntie quoted 250k rup for a bowl which the shop owner came out and slashed to 50k rup almost immediately

We continued ti walk around only to find ourselves walking in circles because R is 路痴！haha we had some coconut ice cream and drink before heading to the next place for babi guling.

They ran out of pork skin 😭 when we got there. Sian. So just ate some other pork stuff which was so-so. Haiz.

Our airbnb provides shuttle to and fro ubud mkt so we just waited for them in this hipster coconut warung.

After going back to our villa hoping to dip in our pool but Bali was not hot enough for the freakishly-icy-cold pool (What?!), we went to CasCades Restaurant at The Bali Viceroy for a romantic dinner.

We made a reservation online in the afternoon. Should've gone in the day when the sun was up because only then can u see the view. The interior design is really vvv romantic. They have separate tables by the pool with flower petals on the floor. Omg best spot for proposal.

We opted for ala carte instead of the set ones and ordered two starters to share. Didn't take photo of the scallops but both are ok. Not fantastic.

This lobster bisque is da bomb. I love lobster bisque do much that I will definitely order it if I see it on the menu. 

They also served us 2 servings of bread which was so good too. Lol. We thought we would be hungry considering how tiny the starters were so when they asked if we wanted another serving of bread, we said YES! Hahahaha

A surprise tamarind sorbet before ourain course came. R said it's to cleanse our palate. Really meh?

R's main course bebek something. It was not bad but mine was better.

My pork belly. Yum. But by now I was already quite full from the bread. Haha. So R got to enjoy quite a bit of this too.

We got them to help us take photo before we ate. I had to remind R because he always eats his food almost immediately after he's served. Haha

This is a very bad photo but whatever la, the dessert so nice. We ordered after eight and it's chocolate with mint leaves, choc ice cream, some fruit tart, marshmallow and chocolate on the side.

We moved over to the bar area because this guy wants to smoke cigars. I sat far from him and told him if I die early it's because of his second hand smoke. Lol. He kept saying u don't actually take it into your body, as in the smoker, yada yada... Idc

Both of us finished one bottle 🍾 of Riesling which I think I drank most of it cos I got quite high. Haha. They have a pianist to serenade the guests too. Overall the service is rly exceptional. Love it! 😍 they're so attentive but not intrusive.

Before we left I made him take picture of the arch because why so nice? I think it's probably v expensive to have it in sg for our wedding. See how.. Maybe we can get the florist to do it.

I woke up earlier as usual so just sitting here with my face mask and updating dayre because I was simply too drunk to do it last night. Haha. Going to order breakfast from the warung here to makan in the villa before we continue to do some wedding planning later.

We are stuck in the villa because they're fixing a road and we can't go out.

R is currently shitting and laughing at a video of a crazy PMS ang mo woman scolding her bf. 

So, what is wrong with the bf?

Yay! We can go out now!

We were on our way to The Sayan House and saw this! Just when @orezenonat told us that Obama is in Ubud 1h ago, we were still joking about gg to find him. Lol

I kind of regretted booking this villa by the rice field because it was so inconvenient but the whole point of this trip was to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Bali's pace is really so much slower than sg that's why we go back so often.

After the road got fixed, we finally got onto our free shuttle to Ubud Market. We went to Caramel Pattiserie that is v near Clear cafe.

I went there thinking the interior will be nice because of ladyironchef post but hell the photo was for the restaurant on top/below I don't even remember. 

But the dessert not bad la. I don't really like the macaroons though.

After that we got a blue bird to go to The Sayan House for dinner. The noob driver didn't know where this place was so we just dropped off somewhere near which in the end was 1km away. But it was in the end a blessing in disguise because we saw the fleet of black cars and police zooming and shooing cars to the sides for Obama! 

We were walking and this crazy 不要命 police on bike went on the oncoming traffic to make the cars siam to one side. 😎 cool siol
