First post for 2014. I'm sick! In fact I fell sick during my trip in taipei. Oh my.. it was horrible. I coughed so much and had terrible headaches.

At the clinic now, I hope I don't get too many medication

My Make up for today - Day 1

These are what I applied on my face today.

Started with my Catrice Prep & Prime so that I have a smooth and pore less canvass for my foundation. Of course, before my primer I already applied all the moisturizer to hydrate my skin. It is especially important for people who have both dry and oily skin. Moisturizer will help keep your face hydrated and control the amount of oil produces throughout the day. And primer can help oily skin people have their foundation stay on for a longer time. 😁

Next, I used my Maybelline instant age rewind eraser dark circle to cover up any crazy dark eye rings that I have. I love this under eye concealer to bits. It doesn't crease and it's coverage is amazing. Too bad they don't sell it in singapore. I got my first one when I was traveling in the States and got my friend to bring some back for me when she went for her exchange this year.

I set my foundation and concealer with the Clear Last powder. I bought this from Watsons last month and have been loving it thus far. It has a really nice smell which I like. The one I bought is for oily skin and it's supposed to help my face stay matte throughout. So far so good 👍

Oh my. How can I forget about this?! My favorite foundation now - Laneige Bb cushion pore control. Apply this after primer using the sponge given. Pat it into the skin for a flawless finish

After the powder, I used my much loved bronzer from the body shop to contour my face. As I have a round and chubby face 😢 I have to contour a lot. I suggest to such your cheeks in then brush some of the bronzer in the sunken area when you such in and also on the jaw line and temple if you have long fringe.

I like to highlight the high points of my face on days when I'm going for nice dinner or simply when I'm feeling more vain.

Lastly for the face, brush on some blush that you love and I'm using NARS - Orgasm today. Really nice rose gold colour.

With my new favorite eyebrow pencil from Anastasia that my dear friend bought for me from the States. I gave myself some brows. I'm serious. You have to have some brows. It frames the face and is so important but many people always neglect it.

This is how I look with and without brows. So different. Omg. 😅 luckily I'm going for eyebrow embroidery this Wednesday. Whew.

For my eyes, I applied the pink shadow on the eyelid then the brown one on the outer corners and my crease. It's not easy to find the crease on asian eyes? It's basically the sunken area in between your brow bone and eye ball. Then, I used the white on to highlight my brow bone. This wet n wild palette is so versatile. When I want to create a night look I'll just apply more of the brown one and it would instantly become more sultry.

How can I stop without applying eyeliner! Another of my favorite gel eyeliner from Maybelline. It stays on forever and does not smudge. Cheap and good 💪

Lastly for my eyes, after I curl my lashes, I applied some Benefit They're Real mascara to give my lashes some oomph!

👄 I always like to end off my makeup with lipstick. This is from Revlon and it's so pretty. I like to dab it on my lips from the inside and leave the outer edges free from the colour so it creates a really subtle gradient effect. Lastly, apply some balm or gloss on top to get the shiny look 😗

This is my before and after. I look more awake and refreshed. Makeup is to help you look better not change your whole look 😌

Must utilize the bike I bought though it's on $50 since it's second hand. 1h a day. GO!

Just really simple makeup today. Used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Uzi on my eyelids smudging it slightly near the double eyelid crease. Then I tight lined with another Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in zero. Instant big eyes effect 👀

Off to my first tuition for the day. 4 lessons today. 加油 for this period i.e. PSLE period. Then no more money this year end lo. Lucky there's still N levels O levels and A levels. R is at work too :) using the tumbler he bought for me 😚

So glad I'm not taking exams anymore. Life back then was just about studies and exams. Though my life now is more or less about studies and exams, just lucky I don't need to sit for it.

I went for eyebrow embroidery today. Yeah! Been wanting to go try because it's really troublesome to draw my brows everyday. Can't wait for it to heal and see the final results. 
The whole process was painless. The beautician applied a numbing cream for me and I didn't feel anything at all. 

I know I'm late to the party but I finally visited a Tim Ho Wan in singapore. No queue. Whew.

After my eyebrow embroidery, I met up with Yushan since I'm that near to NTU why not right? I was just trying my luck to see if he's free and just nice! Picked him up from innovation centre or smth like that then went Westgate. 

Guess what?

We lost our way because dear navigator kept switching off his google maps. 😕

Picked Tim Ho Wan randomly just because there's one there. Both of us had tried their Hong Kong outlet and were blown away by their Char Siew Bun but the Sg one is really so so.

But I was rather hungry so still finished everything.

Oh, we ordered cold Barley and even after repeating 冷的 almost 3 times when ordering they still gave us hot ones. 

When we asked them to change to the cold one they literally pour out half the cup and put in half cup of ice.

In my heart I was like, "why you like that?" (The way my students would say when I give them homework) can't describe it here since it's the way they speak but sounds funny to me. Ok I'm smiling to myself now. 

Weird.

Chinese nasi lemak with soya bean milk for breakfast today. Woke up real early today to send Ray to the bus stop then came to AMK for gym. Yeah! I exercised everyday this week and I'm so proud of myself. I hope I can keep this going. I'll probably rest during the weekends. 

What do you guys think of people selling 4D tickets to you? One auntie just approached me while I was having my breakfast. She doesn't look that old. Probably mid 50s. I mean she looks like she can get a proper job but she chose to do this. Kept telling me to help her and myself by 买个希望 -_-" 

I mean get a job! Don't be picky and I'm sure there's a job somewhere. I heard from my friends whose family run F&B or knows people running one and they totally can't find helper for their stall even

with 2k pay. What's wrong with these people? 2k is not that little and it's such simple job. Just serve plates. I understand it's not that glamorous since you either work in coffeeshop or hawker but for survival can you be less picky? 

I used to help out at the coffee shop during 清明 when my family had a drink stall at Sin Ming. I think it's totally fine! Though it was only short term, it was carefree and I don't need to worry if I'll make any mistake because it's so hard to make a mistake. 

If they're blind or physically disabled then I understand but if they can walk around, I don't see why can't they just get a job even if it's manual. 

做人要靠自己!

Work hard people! It's Thursday already. Almost there. At least that's what I tell myself though I still give tuition during the weekends. Oh well......

Day 2 of my eyebrow embroidery. 

Still looks kind of dark but I'm sure it will fade naturally. Now I have to wash my face and hair very carefully because I'm not supposed to let my brows touch any water. It's so hard...
