Exploding box for bf
Just reached Ray's house. He got back from a leisure yacht trip in phuket with his colleagues.

It's been so long since I made something for him. Being together for almost 7 years really made many things very routine and not romantic anymore.
I used to be more 'hardworking' but eventually just got so used to being together, these things just didn't seem to matter anymore.

Finally got up and ready to go for my class. I didn't sleep at my usual 3 or 4 am because I was reminded by my girlfriends that the aging process has kicked it. Damn.
So anyway this is part of the #explodingbox I made. Look at that hair. 😂 our first Halloween shopping together. This was back in 2009 when we were going for some uni cca event and thought of buying the costumes. What were we thinking???

This is the other side of the photo.
Below that photo, there is another section. There are basically three flaps and this is the second layer.
I made like a cover for it. When you open it, you will see a small booklet attached.
Initially, I wanted to make it chronological so for each side it'd be 2 years of our lives together.
The first section kind of followed what I planned out.
So this was us in 2009-2011.
NUSSU Camp as facilitators, Hong Kong trip and just random photos that I took of him.
I made like a cover for it. When you open it, you will see a small booklet attached.

The last layer for this side has a little pocket that contains 4 photos and a waterfall photo thing that's supposed to flip when you pull it.
This is my first attempt so still not so good but can la. 心意 you know?
From this section onwards, it got a little messed up with the order already but whatever, not bad 就好. Haha

Another small booklet of photos. I tried to write short messages behind each photo if I can't remember what we did. If I don't, I just write sweet messages or random things. Haha
I also made 2 flip cards inside the box.
This was quite hard to make because I left my pen knife in the centre!!!
I think I destroyed some of the scrapbook papers because I accidentally tore the sides while trying to cut with a scissors.

On the flip side, I created a small card which I wrote a slightly longer message in. This was so much more easier to make.
This is a bonus on this side because I have quite a number of USA trip photos that I printed. This is probably the one that worked best. 😂
The third section is for 2013 - 2014 but I used the Bali photos that we took while eating at jimbaran on 2 separate trips as a card. I copied a poem inside because I ran out of things to write but to be fair, the poem does reflect what I want to say. 😌
I also included ugly but funny photos of us during Halloween once me as power puff girl and him as dracula and the second time as 八仙.

After awhile these waterfall cards just look the same already but it's effort. I must emphasise.

I think I didn't print all the photos in the correct size that's why the waterfall card doesn't work as well.
I set it to 5cm by 5cm, maybe I have to make it smaller so that the pulling flap can work better. Also, maybe next time I'll use thicker paper, some of the papers I used are too soft.

This was one of the funniest photo I found of ray. I seriously can't remember why he did that but I do remember where. Haha. It was at a Tze cha shop opposite sembawang shopping centre.
He was so hilarious yet cute. I can't imagine what was going through his head when he let me take this photo. Haha!

I really like the photos we took at White Rabbit but the stupid photo paper don't know why so many scratches. Ok, maybe it's because the printer only cost me $59. (gian beng you know) 😂
Last waterfall to wrap up our last trip in 2015 to New Zealand.

What? I'm 26! Shit...
Having my breakfast because ray woke up late. He's only going to buy the clams and onions for the lunch he's preparing for me now.
Thankful that he's cooking a meal for me but can't help but feel hangry.

It has been concluded by me that not everyone can paint. Wth.
I've also realised that I didn't really learn much about painting during art class in school. I do not know how to use the brush and how to correct certain things that are not nice. Lol.

I put back the weight I lost when Raymond was gone in just 2 days spent with him eating and eating.
Then I looked at the calendar and there are so many events coming up that photos will be taken.
I am not the 主角 but I also don't want to look like 猪脚. 😭
I need to start exercising and watch what I eat again. But when I love food so much, it's so hard!

Ok, I think I should really not waste my gym membership and start going on every weekday. (weekend rest la hor) Even if it's just going to run, I must also do it! I must sleep earlier too. Otherwise, I will be too tired to do any exercise in the morning.

Finally on my way home now. Just went grocery shopping because my helper is back in Philippines for 1 month.
Anyway, I happen to see this father pushing his son's head real hard when he couldn't do his work while on my way to ntuc.

But shouldn't you do this behind closed doors?
The poor boy was squatting in front of a public bench by the side of the parade square and the evil dad was sitting on the bench.
I mean my evil dad used to threaten to cane me in public when I was a small girl but he didn't actually do it.
I don't know how stupid or how many times the dad had to teach the boy but that was definitely not the way.
But shouldn't you do this behind closed doors?
