Typical day to work...really miss the days when I drove to sch. Now I take bus to work everyday at around 12pm which is freaking hot. Nothing wrong with taking public transport just that sg weather is crazy. Sometimes it rains so heavily you can't see who's in front of you. Sometimes it's so hot you just want to stay in air con room or just take a ice cold shower.

Back to Insanity workout again. I really want to lose weight but whatever I was doing at the gym was not working. Hence, I'm back with Shaun T.
 Completed the first day! 🎉
I think I did better than the first time I tried insanity last year. It was still very tiring though.
I followed the video and did the exercises. Each exercise is 1 minute and I had to remember how many times I did each workout for.
I seriously wonder how long I'll last because the last time I only managed to survive for 2 weeks before giving up completely. It was an arduous journey.

But after all the months of going to the gym at least once a week made me slightly stronger. I can even feel some biceps muscles now though they're enveloped by a thick layer of fats. Haha
Not that going to the gym did not result in anything. It's just that my weight didn't go down but I can feel my butt becoming perky, my arms stronger and overall better cardiovascular health.
Back to working again. When a passion becomes work, it's not as fun anymore. Luckily, I don't face the same few people everyday. Some of my students are even quite humorous which makes the class more entertaining.

Insanity day 2 is insane.
I almost died again today during the workout because my body was already aching due to yesterday's fit test.

In addition, there's not even a single cube of ice at home!!!

Luckily, I managed to pull through again. My body is protesting right now. It hurts even when I stand up and sit down.

#nopainnogain
It was scorching when I went to take the bus to work today. I always perspire like I just ran a marathon when I come for work. The 12pm sun in Singapore is seriously no joke.

Can the whole Singapore become like Gardens by the Bay? Someone please invent it!

If we cannot be a San Francisco, then at least let us be GBTB!

Yay! Another day of insanity workout is over!
Lunch for today after I finished insanity. I prepared the vegetables and marinated the food before the workout.
Most in love with the pan fried chicken fillet. Marinated with cayenne pepper, cumin, black pepper and some salt, then fried with olive oil.
Trying to make healthier lunch but no idea what else I can make that's not vege only. I need meat in my diet.
 Sweat like crazy!!!
Sitting in front of the fan now so that I can dry up quickly. Need to go shower soon before going to work.

I woke up so early (545am) this morning to send ray to camp. I guess thanks to Insanity workout, I'm actually very awake now.
Fat like what?! I put on more than 10kg ever since I got tgt with Ray. Such a fatso now! I must lose all the weight that I put on!

But ever since I got tgt with Ray, I've learned to eat so many different foods that I grew to love. I changed from a person who eat to live to a person who live to eat. That's why working out is so important now that I need to eat so many different food!

Eating with Ray is also one of the favorite things we do tgt. We always travel out just to eat smth we love.
 GLUTTONS!

*pat myself on my back* for completing Insanity Day 4! 🎉🎊
I'm so happy I was able to squeeze in Insanity in the morning although I have so many errands to run today!

I actually woke up before the alarm go off for my workout. Usually, even for my gym classes, I would snooze non stop.

Ray was telling me that he thinks that it would already be very good if I complete the first 30days of insanity. But I'm determined to complete it. 加油!
I saw this hash tag by @whiteboardmarker and thought that I must write about it. #MyFavouriteTravel
 Mongolia!
The photo above shows you where I stayed for the whole trip. Not the same ger, we move around everyday so that we can visit all the different places.

But you get the point right? Grassland, beautiful sky and picturesque scenery.
This was the first tourist attraction we visited in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.

We were joking about how we knowing the name of the capital of Mongolia will help us win those TV shows where they ask you for the names of capitals which many would probably not know.

After which we went on a day tour in the city and the outskirts of it.
This was built for/by the Russians (can't remember) to commemorate their help during war.
Mongolia is a place rich in cultures and has a long history as can be seen in this newly built humongous statue of Genghis Khan.
Like any typical tourists, we tried on their traditional costumes.
We climbed all the way to the top just to take a picture with him! Haha

No la, it is actually so high you can see so many things from above.
While travelling around, we saw many of these, piles and piles of rocks. Initially, we thought they were like piles of rubbish where people just collate their wastes at. But no! It actually symbolises that that area is a sacred and holy place. When we went to took a closer look, we saw statues of their Gods and things that they want to give their Gods.
After the first day, we took a flight to another city in Mongolia where we began our journey in the Gobi Desert.

My first time on a horse ride was quite chill because I was a noob and I did not dare to ride alone so the guide held on to my horsie. Haha
There were so many firsts for me when I visited Mongolia. I experienced walking on top of glaciers and understood how dangerous it can be walking on top of a melting one!

Some Mongolians who thought they were pros, walked around in slippers carelessly.

BOOM!

One of the fatter one fell into the hole and hit his groin area damn badly. His friends had to hurry over to pull him up.

OUCH!!!
We slept in their traditional gers throughout the trip in the desert. Didn't shower and had no proper toilets.

In fact, the only toilet that I would prefer is the one from the first day which had no door. It was just a hole and two covers on the front and the side. Basically, if someone walks behind you, he can see your ass!
We spent our free time walking around and exploring the great nature around us. Ray saw a herd of horses and decided to follow them as they roam across the hills.

The space is so freaking huge that you can literally see the rain coming towards your direction when you stand on top of the hill.

#awesome
Of course, I don't love everything about Mongolia. One thing I hate is their food.
I had nongshim cup noodles almost every meal. Thank God for instant cup noodles!
They eat meat, particularly beef and mutton. Both of which I dislike. They don't really have vegetables locally and the only thing I coumd get from them was fried potatoes.

Even the vegetable soup that I ordered and tried to confirm with them multiple times that it was really vegetable soup was cooked with mutton bones.
One other fun thing we did was to climb the sand dune which I gave up half way. It was seriously a tough climb. The sand is so soft, every step you take, you will sink in. It's like climb up 1 step, drop down 2 steps.

I was really unfit then so it was too strenuous for me. I decided to give up because everyone was already up there and ready to slide down.

Sliding down took like 30sec only. Climbing up took almost 1.5h.
Flaming cliffs
I really love Mongolia and plan to visit central Mongolia in the near future. For anyone who want to visit Mongolia, go during late May/early June. The weather is cooling and not too hot/cold. The guide told us that their weather is really extreme, it can go from 40 degrees celsius to negative 40 degrees celsius in summer and winter respectively.

Also, if you're willing to take the risks, book your trips there in Mongolia.
We booked ours online before we went over and it was quite expensive. We talked to some of our fellow travellers whom we met there and found that it was cheaper to book there.

Another thing to note is that, language is really a barrier. Get a guide. We had one and though she said she could speak English, half the time we were playing guessing game. Haha 😂
Lastly, I want to show you what you can see there at night. But my point and shoot camera only allowed me to take photo of the milky way in this quality.

It was crazy how the sky is filled with so many stars, constellations and milky way. The night is so peaceful and beautiful but really cold. Wear enough to keep yourself warm. Drink some alcohol and enjoy your night!
