Kuala Lumpur Food Trip

The Troika
Day 1 in KL was spent having dinner at Bait, Bangsar with R's colleagues and massive amount of alcohol at his colleague's place.

A's house is damn huge for just 2 people. It's at Troika. It has 3 ensuite bedrooms, super spacious living area, dining area, 2 kitchen, maid room and a total of 5 toilets. What?! The main entrance is also a full height door which can probably fit 2.5 of me stacking up.
Day 2

R puked his guts out from late night's drinking and so we skipped the breakfast in the hotel.

We stay very near the Kin Kin Pan Mee place and I brought R there to try.
Technically, we uber there. In fact, we uber everywhere. Haha

It is also my first time trying the chilli mee and it is so nice!
The magic is in this but I'm not very good at eating spicy food so i didn't add a lot.

Between the two of us, we had 3 bowls!

Bangsar Village II
While waiting for A and J to come and have cakes/coffee with us at Jaslyn Cakes, R was still hungry so we went into one random cafe and ordered eggs benedict. This is also in Bangsar.

We chat for quite awhile before heading back to take advantage of the lounge access that we have at the hotel.

Spent our night at Lot 10 Hutong eating black hokkien mee with another group of colleagues. Just keep meeting Bain peeps this holiday.

Day 3

This morning's makeup before we headed out to petaling st to find gd street food. We had asam laksa. Wah, spicy but so good.
The asam laksa that we had at Jalan Petaling, Madras Lane.

After that we walked around chinatown for a bit before deciding that it is too hot and touristy for us. We got an uber to go to Berjaya Times square to shop. Nothing much there, in fact all malls are almost the same these days especially if u don't hv anything to buy.

We had gui ling gao, walked around then got an uber to go to a cafe that his colleague recommended for coffee where he took this photo of me talking.
And yes, we ate again. Today is just about eating and eating.
I didn't eat R's but my salmon is very nice. I was actually not hungry but just ordered to try and R said he would help me finish it.

In the end, I didn't need his help. Woo!
Then, my turn to take random photo of him eating. He can't wait.
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
We chat for awhile in the cafe before heading to Lot 10 again. We are there everyday. Lol

Shopped for a bit, bought nothing then decided to walk to Pavilion to buy tickets for Boss Baby. Saw Gindacho and I wanted to eat it and also to send a pic to my sis because she'd be so jelly about it. This is one of her fave food.
Lot 10 Hutong (Lot 10 Hutong (十號胡同))
We had around 1h plus to spare before the movie. We had dessert, walked around, bought nothing then watched movie. Oh, got nuggets and small popcorn. They serve popcorn in individual portion which is what sg shld have because the small size in sg is too big for one person.

Keep eating.

The movie was very funny and sweet.

After that, R wanted to eat local food one last time so we went back to Hutong again. He had chili pan mee, I had bak kut teh.
This pretty much sums up our KL trip. Just food and more food. It was meant to relax, chill and eat. I think we pretty much covered what we aimed to do. A little too much bitching about work for R and too boring for me when they bitch.

Carpet.

Busy morning trying to mop and clean up after Daisy. Got so frustrated in the end I put her back into the kitchen.

Anyone knows when can puppy go out for walks? This border collie is 4 months old and has too much energy, biting anything and everything, loves papers especially.
Caught her pooing in action at the correct place and gave it treat immediately but when can she start peeing at the correct place. 😥
I would be like this 👆 if not for the fact that I need to work. 😫

I'm secretly happy that one of my student is quitting. I shouldn't be, but I am.

Last Saturday was spent scootering to Sembawang park via park connector. I shared with R a route that I took when I was a kid to get to semb park. My aunt, cousins, sis and I used to frequent semb park every other week for a period of time when I was still in pri sch.

We would all cycle there tgt and we even found a private part of semb that was so untouched. It was really inaccessible if you don't drive or if you never explored to that area because you have to walk through tall grass.
I would like to describe myself as an adventurous girl when I was young. I would do all these crazy stuff that I would not do now. I treasure my life a lot more now. I guess when you're young, nothing much matters. You're willing to go all out just to feel the adrenaline.

Back to the scootering, we just hung around the park. It was so crowded.

R's scooter, very unfortunately, ran out of battery. Lol. He had to half scoot on whatever juice is left and half kick our way to sunplaza.
I tried to be nice and offered to exchange scooter with him for awhile and i regretted. 😂 it was so tiring.

We reached Sun plaza too early plus everyone was late...

Had bai mee hoon for dinner and paid a plate of crayfish at the price of prawns because they made a mistake. The auntie in me made me ask if we can have the crayfish at prawn price just to try my luck... They agreed! Haha otherwise they would have to throw away so why not right?
Sometimes I really just need one good class to pull me back up and it's usually this 👆 but idk what was wrong with them today, maybe from excessive revision for mye, they were so uncooperative.

Best part? Before I even finish my last sentence, the boys rushed out, knocking my LCD screen down along the way.

I just checked if the screen was working and also asking them why do they have to squeeze through the walkway all at once in a very frustrated manner because well, I was frustrated 😤
These few came back after about 3 mins. I didn't know what they were up to, i thought they forgot something in the classroom.

The boy who knocked the monitor down was asking if the monitor was still working. The girl just made sure all the boys made it back into the centre and they apologised tgt.

I found it both heart warming and funny at the same time. The former because they have really grown up. The latter because they ended up trying to claim credits for who initiated to come back.
They will be graduating this year and Idk how I can survive next year without them. I am bias towards them and I always admit it. They are just sweeter than the rest. They know their boundaries and this is probably the only class that I never dreaded going into.

Suffering from insomnia again which idk if it's another sign for me to quit. I've been rehearsing over and over again in my head the way I should talk to the Sat class because I have reached my limit with them. Like really.
I've been tutoring for almost 10 years now and never once did any student/class make me feel this way. This class has really made me want to quit tutoring/teaching/this business totally.
