Ryzer: Travel to the East
Date out with R because we finally got the car! This is a really outdated post. I haven't had the time to sit down and just type an entry out. Just got back from Mongolia 2 weeks ago and it was totally awesome. Plunged back into work immediately after I came back and haven't rested since. I work 7 days a week now :( Ok, only until O levels and I shall be free.
We were supposed to visit Penny University for late lunch but found many other restaurants along the way. East side of Singapore is simply a food heaven. We decided to share a serving of Bak Kut Teh just because the shop looks kind of old school. Yea...it feels like you're in M'sia when you eat inside.
The Bak Kut Teh is really not bad. If not for the distance, I think we would go eat it more often since R loves the black Bak Kut Teh more than the white one. Oh well, we can always settle our cravings with the other famous one from Marsiling.
Then, we bought several Ba Zhang and Nyonya kuehs before heading over to Penny University but too bad, they were closed for private event that night :(
Instead of sticking around, we went over to East Coast Park to watch sunset. Aww...so romantic.
I guess you only really enjoy/want to do this kind of stuff i.e. go out of the way just to watch sunset when you're still in the honeymoon phase. We've been together for almost 5 years (4 years 11 months and 9 days to be exact) so we are not exactly in the honeymoon phase. Furthermore, we see each other everyday, feels kind of like 老夫老妻 now. Maybe we are really over compensating now because he would be working at least 16h a day when he starts work. :'(
We also saw a shop selling Salt Baked Chicken along the way and R made it a point to go back to the same shop we saw although we passed by other shops selling the same thing near East Coast. Oh well... he has cravings as well.
It was so-so only so I don't think we will be visiting this shop anytime soon.
I hope we can still have more of these dates before R starts working :)
