Ryzer: JB 2014
Yay! We got out of Singapore! Though it's just across the sea and not that far away, it was fun. Skipped Korean lesson for this since that's my only free day. We left at around 11am and reached close to 1pm, just nice to have lunch.
The weather was really nice. Sunny but not too hot (ok, I was in the shopping centre/car most of the time so I can't really tell if it was hot)
We had Sakae. Yes, I know there's Sakae in Sg as well but when we are there, we can eat like KINGS!
The exchange rate was rather good for us. $100 = ~256RM
Was walking around saw this stretch of walls inside City Square dedicated to the victims of MH370.
Though it's quite long since the accident but it was still quite sad. So many well wishes and prayers but it's still not found.
Then, we went to Giant to get some stuff before heading to a seafood restaurant called Todak that is by the coast. We got lost despite having the GPS because there were so many new roads that were not updated on the Garmin. It was scary because a supposedly 30 mins drive turned out to be almost 1h and it was dark.
We circled around a private estate for quite long because the new road was not updated and we are right across the highway. It felt like crap. I was getting nervous and scared and my gan jiong-ness passed on to R. Haha!
But we eventually reached there safely because of R's awesomeness. LOL so street-smart literally. haha
The food was ok. Not extremely tasty but the feel is different since you're enjoying the meal by the seaside enjoying the breeze, listening to the crashing of the waves and smelling the aroma of the food. Though I can't quite appreciate the pink lights....why can't they use other colours.
It was an adventure. LOL.
