Food: Bar bar black sheep to Carry On to A heart's dream
WOAH! THE BEST CHICKEN BRIYANI I'VE EVER HAD!
Ok, maybe if i'm the one to say it's best, it's probably not that validated but both jy and R (muslim-food-fanatic) say it's fanntaaabuuulouuussss!!!???!!!?? It's THE BOMB!
We were being spontaneous yet again on a Monday afternoon looking for a café to rest our lazy butts in and sadly, hipster cafés are not open on Mondays and hence, we ended up at Bar Bar Black Sheep at
362 Tanjong Katong Rd
while driving around East side because that's where all the hipster cafés are.
It was the best choice ever because I ordered the best briyani in SG!!!!!!! R ordered curry and Jy ordered masala. Mine is still the best! Initially, I was thinking how come the waiter did not give me a bowl of curry like how it comes together with the briyani at normal restaurants. But...HOLY! When I tried mixing the food together, WOAH! The curry is inside!
It's like a burst of flavour in your mouth when you put it in.
After the hearty lunch, we moved on to the café just a few shops away from Bar bar black sheep to have some coffee and chit chat.
Carry On also carry a line of bags from Manila. haha. However, they are rather expensive because the bags are all made from fabrics and they are one of a kind. So, if you get one, you'll be only one in the world using that bag!
I had my usual mocha.
Jy and R had caramel macchiato shot.
They were selling their freshly baked croissants ($3 each) and they were delicious!!! We hanged around until about 4:30pm, talking about random musings and crap. Cafés are really quite nice to hang out, chit chat, read a book or just relax and chill at.
We got to know a new friend who's working as a civil engineer building our very own national stadium when volunteering at GUI. So, when we passed by the construction, R just asked me to take a photo of it. It is massive and we can't wait for the construction to be completed. Just look at the dome..omg!
We were supposed to go back home but we missed an exit and ended up having to pass by AMK. We decided to drop by a small bakery called A heart's dream. The owner was one of the featured "Undefeated" for the Goodstuph Good stories that I went last month.
We had tiramisu and oreo cheesecake. They may look small but it was really filling. Too bad the neighbourhood is rather quiet these days because of school holidays, otherwise, the cake is actually quite nice.
