Personal: Jingyi's Birthday Part II

Thanks to Serene, 老板娘 of Tapas Table :) , we had a very lovely set up to surprise Jy with. It was a similar theme to her own birthday which we celebrated at Botanical Gardens this year - Click Here. 

Yup, we just used the tuition room for the mini celebration and gathering. Since the room is quite cosy and small now that we separated it into two, we only invited a few friends over.

So what happened was that we had planned this long ago but we haven't asked her out. We wanted to make sure everyone was free first. So when we asked her, it was supposed to be like a 3 girls thing (what we want her to think) but she asked if she can get the others along and we're like, why not? Everything went as planned, everyone knew about it just that we all act like we were going out for a simple dinner. From the previous post, we met her on her birthday actual day to go Privé which was when we found out that her other friends used Canopy as a distraction to give her a surprise. She was like she really wanted to try the food at Canopy and hence, we suggested to visit Canopy with the group on Saturday.

I told her I would make the reservation and all but all of us knew it was going to be here instead of the restaurant. On that very day, Ray and I picked her up from Khatib Mrt. Nothing unusual, R just said that he forgot his wallet so we had to turn around to pick up his wallet and I said I was having a tummy ache just so all of us would have to go up otherwise it'd be weird for R to go up alone. Then I suddenly thought of the cardigan she left at the tuition room on Halloween and I told her that she should pick the cardigan up from the room while I go to the toilet to settle my big business.

She didn't notice anything even when I said I really had to visit the bathroom when I was in the lift. I didn't know I could act that well. LOL. I'm usually the one who gives it away. 

So, she enters the room and thought that she had walked into the Ryzer's romantic set up but BOOYAHHH! It was her surprise party!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RED LIGHT! Although we are late but we put in a lot of effort to pull this through. We cooked all the food and spent time thinking ways to trick you up without giving it away. 3 birthdays spent in UK without us and so we give you one unforgettable one the first year you return!
