Thanks to Annabelle I got to know this new Mexican Restaurant in Town - EL ROCHO'S. I'm a very picky eater and foods that are too cheesy or has some things that I don't like, I won't eat at all but the foods served here are really good. It's cheesy but not too much for me to handle :)

They had mexican hats around so I decided to take photos with it. Haha. Annabelle told me that her son wanted to play with it the previous time they went but she forbade it. But I became the playful one and took it. heeheehee!

This is the menu and we ordered Cheese Rolls, Shrimp Nachos, Yucatan Braised Pork, Quesadilla and Tres Leches Cake.

The restaurant is not that big and it was almost full most of the time when we were there last Friday night so if you want to try it, I suggest you make a reservation.

Cheese Rolls. The outer layer is made from popiah skin and inside it's just cheese. This is really nice and not too cheesy :)

Shrimp Nachos would be another thing that I will order if I go back again.

Quesadilla with chicken. This is probably my favourite out of all the savoury food. There were four of us and all these made us really full.

Yucatan Braised Pork. The braised pork melts when it touches your tongue. It is very well marinated and tastes marvelous. Another must order on your first visit.

Tres Leches Cake. This is the one and only dessert on the menu and is another must eat.

"The MUST ORDER Tres Leches Cake($9, or three milk cake) is a simple vanilla sponge cake, soaked in three kinds of milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk and whole milk. It sounded terribly heavy but in reality, it was very light, a perfect way to end a meal. The cake itself had an airy texture, so even when it was soaked in the mildly-sweet milk, it didn’t come across as soggy or cloying. " 

However, this dessert is a little too sweet for me although I like the texture of the cake a lot.
