Makeup: Current foundation routine
Hi guys! This is my current foundation routine when I go for something nice and when I need the foundation to stay longer.
Facial condition:
Extremely oily T-zone
Redness around pimples
Some pigmentation from pimple scars
Dark eye rings
So, if you have similar problems as me, try this method out and I'm sure your face makeup won't budge. This is the before and after photo. The lights have really helped cancel out many of my imperfections. But as you can see, I've concealed many of those spots and gave myself flawless skin. heehee.
1. Use a oil controlling facial primer all over the oily part of your face. Fo me, when I feel like pampering myself, I will also use a moisturising primer for the other parts of my face. As for the primer to control oil secretion, I highly recommend Smashbox blemish control primer and for the moisturising primer, try Laura Mercier foundation primer.
2. Use a colour corrector to remove the redness from pimples or at the corners of your nose and mouth. Here, I'm using NYX Full Coverage Concealer Jar in green. If you'd like to, you can also use another concealer with salmon tone to conceal those dark eye rings.
3. After you're done with all the colour correcting, slap the foundation on! I'm using MUFE's face and body. This formula is extremely light but it definitely has coverage power and is buildable. I use this on my clients a lot and they love the finish.
4. Use a skin colour concealer to hide all the other imperfections that were not concealed from before. Set the whole makeup with some powder and VIOLAA! The foundation is done.
For me, I love to use powder that can help control oil secretion like the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder or Rimmel Stay Matte powder. These two are wonderful for oily face. Also, if you want to be safe, spray some makeup setting spray to keep every in place and lasting. Try Urban Decay's De Slick - IT'S AWESOME!
I know this is a really short post but I hope it will benefit people with similar facial conditions as I am.
You can shop the products here or just buy them from local Watsons, Guardian and Sephora.
Till the next!
