Personal: My Commencement
I GRADUATED!
OK! I know I'm really slow in posting this since my commencement was back in July. :X But I'm just going to slowly start posting the different happenings in my life since I became really busy with Brilliant Brains Edu Hub *ahem* and also after I started my stint. So here goes!
Before I continue, all photo credits to dearest Beier and YiangMeng :) Thanks so much!
I had these really lovely flowers from my mom and sissy. It was really pretty! We reached there slightly early and so we just chilled in the car for a bit before heading over to the hall.
Yes, this woman graduated with me! Coincidentally, we were in the same schools since primary school though we don't really know each other well before CCHY days. Kinda thankful to have her around with her chirpy and cheerful character. hee.
My dearest Mom and Sis who came to support me. Haha. Sadly, Raymond wasn't able to make it because he was doing his internship at McKinsey Shanghai at that time. :(
My 30sec of fame when I collected the scroll which was later given back to the people because it's fake. Hah.
The usual balloon drop for every other NUS events. Typical orange and blue coloured balloons - NUS colours but what I really liked about this is that it marks the end of the ceremony! It was a long 1.5 - 2hrs event which was boring and dreadful. All I was involved in was the 30s when I walked up, other than that it's just sitting beside a bunch of people you don't know. Bleh. Alright, unless you're some award winning scholars then you'll probably be less bored. Then they had the usual speech by the Valedictorian which was really uninteresting as well. The one they chose/picked out from my major just talked about how she spent her time mugging in the library and rushing projects/essays. How exciting. Yea, to those people out there who thought Uni is so fun....this is it. If you want to do well, you have to mug. Unless you're really an all-rounded person, you'll probably be President for some clubs or even the Students' Union or get some zai intership which pays you 10k as an intern. Too bad, our batch's top student just mugs, at least that's what she told everyone. On the other hand, I was more impressed with the other Valedictorian whom I find to be more interesting. He was able to engage with the audience more but too bad he's not from my major.
Ok, enough of my complains...Singaporean....I know. Anyway, I really love this photo taken by my sister! She actually called me on the phone to ask me to look up so she can take this photo. Thank you!

Yay! Yanting, Delvin and YiangMeng came for my Commencement :)
Really happy to see them there otherwise it would be really sad that I have to leave immediately. As you can see, I perspired like a lot a lot!!! Why? Because I just came back from our major's photoshoot outside in the freaking gown which was super thick!
My 2 Lovely Ladies whom I love to bits. Thank you for accompanying me throughout my entire life, never forsaking me even when I was at my most rebellious times.
More photos from the commencement!

Here's the pinky promise I made with them to go for their commencement next year because they came for mine :))
So, this marks the official end of my undergraduate days. We went to a restaurant near Jurong Bird Park for dinner. TEPPANYAKI! Not the most fantastic but I spent it with my most treasured people and that's what makes it amazing!
The view was ok, nothing much to see because there was only buildings/ships/cant remember. but yea, not interesting.
I was very happy with the makeup and hair that day which lasted really really long.

It wasn't that good so there's no point mentioning the name of the restaurant (tbh, I can't remember the name. haha)
I guess this means that I'm starting a new phase of my life now but I feel so lost now. Am I really doing something that's worth doing? It's definitely more lucrative than any other job as a fresh grad but the problem is how to grow the business. I do get a sense of achievement when my student did well and it was really heartwarming when they credit me for their improvement:) I received a Teachers' day letter from my tutee and she said that her improvement was because of me and she was very happy because that's what I promised her when I first talked to her over the phone when her father wanted to engage me as her tutor. I was very happy when I saw those words, not the gifts that came with it. The letter meant a lot to me. I hope I can hold on to this and carry on what I'm doing.
ok, time for some sleep to prepare for a full day tuition tomorrow. goodnight!
