Review: First Impression| Maybelline BB watergel & Pore Eraser

After seeing so many of the posts on my facebook feeds from Maybelline, I decided to buy these 2 items to try. So, this post will be a First impression + Mini Review. I'm thinking of giving them a few more tries before coming to a final conclusion.

Anyway, they are Maybelline's Pure BB Mineral BB watergel and Baby Skin Pore Eraser.

The pore eraser, as the name suggests, is supposed to minimise the appearance of your pores and also some fine lines. It's supposed to act the same way as the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer but obviously the latter one is better. It costs me so much more so it better perform better as well.

You can see that there is a visible decrease in the number of visible fine lines on my palm. Ok, not exactly decrease as in disappear but the lines are not so obvious anymore.

As for the BB watergel, it is just like any other BB creams. It's supposed to correct the uneven skin tones, cover up some imperfections and etc (just like other BB). It is rather lightweight and feels like nothing is on the skin.

This is the before and after on my hand. The left side is after I applied the BB gel which I think looks quite fake, maybe because the I applied too much. But it definitely corrected my uneven skin tone and made my skin look flawless.

So, this is my First Impression part.

9:30am I applied my makeup as usual and went out for tuition.

9:50am I start to perspire while waiting for the bus to arrive. My face makeup started to melt away! =X This is the worst thing that can happen because it's impossible for me to redo my makeup!!!

10:00am The bus finally arrived and I quickly go up onto the bus to enjoy the aircon hoping that my makeup will not all melt away.

1030am Tuition started as per normal.

12pm Crazy sun making me melt and my makeup almost fully gone by now (except for my brows)

1230pm Reached home. Byebye makeup!!!

First Impression: The BB watergel sucks! It doesn't last and it's not waterproof! Everything starts to come off as soon as I dab off my perspiration from my face with a tissue and I know the right way to dab off perspiration. The thing is I even set my face makeup with a powder to help increase its lasting power. Too bad. It disappoints me.

However, since I already spent the money, I will give it a few more tries and see if it's really that bad. Maybe it's just the weather in Singapore.

I will do another review on the BB watergel after I give it a few more chances. For now, the pore eraser is working well for me which I'm glad I didn't throw my money into the toilet bowl and flush it down like what I feel with my money on the water gel.

**UPDATE**

I gave up on BB watergel.
