Personal: My 23rd Birthday!
I'm 23! OMG! That sounds really old. Time really does fly when you're in your 20s just like what others told me. It was like I was just 22 yesterday :(
And yes, I grew fatter! Damn. Ever since R came back, I put on almost 3-5kg. It fluctuates everyday for about 1-2kg. But I can see all the roundness on my face and flabby arms already. Time to eat less and exercise more!
Anyway, R planned the whole day and brought me out to play. yay~!
First stop - M Hotel for Buffet Breakfast (so much for eating less and exercising more, LOL) It wasn't the best buffet I've had but Buffet Breakfast are always the same. I mean how different can they get right?
Typical scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, ham, hash brown and french toast.
Cuttlefish congee with crackers
Although it wasn't so fantastic, we had an extremely full meal which made us not hungry until about 8pm when we had our dinner.
I was commenting about how R's hair not presentable because there are so many stray stands of hair standing up and guess what he said?
Quote of the day: There's just too much knowledge in my brain and they are bursting through my hair!
=/
I burst out laughing immediately. He never fails to make me laugh at his jokes which is just so R. I love you so much!

Next stop - River Safari to see Pandas!
Dear R actually let me choose between going to USS or River Safari. I thought that since both of us have already been to USS, maybe we can try River Safari which is NEW! Also, I have not seen a panda in real life before so I really wanted to take a look at Kai Kai and Jia Jia :)
Amazing how my makeup lasted from 7am to 2pm with only minimal secretion of oil and slight drop off of the concealer at the pimple area which was bulging and me dabbing it with tissue paper a few times to remove my perspiration. Singapore is too hot already! A short walk from the ticket counters and Zoo to River Safari made me perspire like I just sprint 1km.
First thing you see when you pass the entrance. Nothing much, just trees and river. The river cruise is not operational until this year end. Boo! So, if you're looking to sit on the boats, don't go now. It's $25 for adults which is a discounted rate. The original price when it officially launches would be $35 but you'll to see 100% of the attractions.
Another animal I've not seen before, Manatee. An aquatic mammal which can weigh up to 550kg and grow up to 3m. Fun fact, they can't survive in waters that is below 15 degree celsius.
Next we have the Pandas! They are so cute in real life and really looked like toys if they are sized down. haha. But their butts are not cleaned as you can see from the stains.
The two pandas are separated at two different sections of the enclosure. One of them was pacing round and round and round while the other one was so busy eating.
Looking at the pandas reminded me of this funny video. HAHA
Look at how small a baby panda is!
At the same enclosure which is air-conditioned, they have the red pandas as well. Although they're called red pandas, they are actually more related to foxes than bears. These two just kept following each other around the small part that is dedicated to them.
Another tiny crocodile. I've never seen crocodile this small. HAHA. Cutest croc ever.
When I saw this monkey I was like, I can see this at Lower Pierce, plenty of them. But when I read the description closely, I went like, Ok, you're special because you eat crabs. LOL!
There are more stuffs to see than what I posted here but mostly fishes already. I've visited more amazing aquariums so I won't be posting so many of the same photos. If you're interested, you can visit Bangkok Day 2 and Graduation Trip for the photos of fishes.
After that, we went to catch the movie, Saving General Yang. Handsome actors for my eyes :P
I first got to know about this movie on a Taiwan Variety Show Kang Xi Lai Le which is super funny. You can check this youtube channel out if you're interested in this variety show.
I will not spoil the show for you by going into the details but only the sixth son aka Wu Zun survived. The rest all died.
We went back home for me to wash up and redo my makeup before heading out to our dinner. Before we headed out, I did the normal blow candles, cake cutting thing at home with my mom and sis. The cake is Tiramisu from Bakerin :) YUMMY!
Look at my mom, totally salivating. hahahaha!
Last stop - Le Petite Cuisine at Serene Centre
I was shocked when I first reached there because it looked like some cui coffee shop just that it's not under a HDB block.
It cost $17 for 1 serving of Confit de canard w/gratin. R said he chose this because it was highly recommended by Ladyironchef which I've linked for you to see if you want more information about the other dishes served there.
The meat was really tender while the skin is crispy. It's very well marinated and I liked it. Although I have to eat meat almost every meal, duck is not my go-to most of the time. This is, however, one of the best duck cuisines I've tried and it is very affordable for french food.
Look at his satisfied look, I bet he loved the duck :)
