Lush Looks: Photo shoot
The photos for the photo shoot are finally sent back to me. Thank you so much to Deepen for helping out to be my photographer and JingYi for helping me out :) She has a youtube channel where she posts many wonderful ukelele/singing covers of songs.
Back to the photo shoot.
Initially, Annabelle and I started this humble makeup service venture called BehindTheScenes which was actually what she used to call it when she was doing it with her other friend. I was still learning the art of makeup and hairstyling back then. She was one of my seniors and we happened to see and work with each other on a few occasions.
One day, she asked if I was interested to do this thing with her. I was still studying in NUS then and was actually thinking of starting something similar but I lack the connections and network. So, I readily accepted her invite and we started BehindTheScenes.
However, the name is really too common and does not work well if we want to do anything online as it's not good for SEO. Hence, I sought help from some friends to get some ideas on what name we should change to.....
So, one day, just sitting at Starbucks with dearest Serene........she gave me so many ideas like Blush Works etc etc (she's the witty one among all my friends) but most of them are already in use by another person or that the domain has already been taken.
Then, TADAH!!! I was just thinking about the word Lush because of the US brand Lush. It sounds nice and is relatable to makeup. (right? haha) We thought of a few words to match with Lush and BAMMMM! "Lush Looks" came about.
So, Annabelle and I decided that we should have a photo shoot of our own (taking photos of us) since we did not have any from the last time. Here goes....
I'm fat. Don't need to remind me. I know. LOL
We did both a Day Look and a Night Look on Jingyi. I did the Hair for the Day Look and Makeup for the Night Look. Annabelle did the Makeup for the Day Look and Hair for the Night Look. Her hair is still quite short so it's not easy to do too many styles so here you have:)
A more sweet and princessy hairstyle match with a fresher makeup for the Day.
A slightly more smokey eyes makeup with glitters and a classy updo for the Night.
For us, I did the makeup and hair for Annabelle and she did mine. Our dress code is RED! Haha.
Look at the terrible condition of my face, it took her quite some time to prep my face with all the masks and serum and whatnots. But the after is amazing! All the blemishes and pimples are poof! Gone!
Lastly, one photo with my lovely Jiggy:)
