Makeup Tutorial: Spring 2013 | Green|Emerald

One of the most go-after makeup looks in Spring 2013 on almost all the fashion shows and makeup brands new spring collections is this gorgeous green/emerald colour eye look. I absolutely adore this colour but it is not exactly very wearable. Furthermore, in our almost "makeup-less" country i.e. Singapore, you would look very out of place if you have too much eye makeup on.

Here are 3 different looks that with the green incorporated but I would say Emma Watson's and the photo below would be the most wearable. The 3rd photo is more for creative/cover shoot style.

I think this look is the most gorgeous with the cat eye effect. It exudes this mysterious feel which makes the look all the more sexy and yummy!

This look is so colourful and dazzling with the rhinestones on the eyes. The face is kept as simple and clean as possible so that the attention will be on the eyes.

So, today I'm going to show you how you can be in trend but still achieve this wearable look with the awesome green and emerald colour!

This is the before & after photo. As you can see, my eyes are bigger and has more life. My complexion is definitely better with the coverage from foundation and concealer.

So, this is how the eye makeup is done. Just three simple steps to achieve this green eye makeup.

Step 1
Step 1: Using Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Mainline, I lined my top lashline and also half of my bottom lash line. Then, I also lined my top waterline, known as tight-lining.

Step 2: Using Bobbie Brown Bobbi Mini Bobbi Brights palette, mid-tone green eyeshadow on the second half of the palette 3rd on the left, I applied it with a small brush and pat it onto the eye liner which I drew. This will help to set the eyeliner in place and also give it a brighter tone because this green eyeshadow is of a slightly lighter shade.

Step 3: Using the same palette but with the colour below the the previous eyeshadow. This is a darker green but is not shown clearly on this photo. I used the same small brush to darken the outer corners of my eyes.
Step 3
Step 4: Using the light green colour from the same palette, with a precise brush/smaller brush, I used it to brighten up the inner corners of my eyes and also dab it lightly on the top inner corners.
Step 4
Lastly, finish the eyes makeup with mascara and you're done with the eyes!

Here are some of the photos which I took after I was done with all the makeup including the face. All products used to get this look will be listed at the end of the post.

Just a quick tip on how different you'll look just by simply pinning your fringe up at different positions.
Pulling your hair to the back and clipping it high up gives it a more cute feel/style.

In contrasts, clipping it lower gives it a more girl-next-door feel.

I bought myself a new makeup case! Yeah! The last one was really torn and old already! I'm super happy with this new one because the old one makes me look damn cheapo and feels lousy. This makeup case is about $68.90. I bought it from Causeway Point's Konad. It's slightly smaller than my old one but it definitely looks more sturdy since it's made of leather. But nonetheless, I'm super happy to have it!

Also, my vanity area is finally up. It has been stuck in the middle where everything is up but without the bulbs. Yes, lazy me....And look at my polkadot bed sheets..heehee! Loving it so much. Next would be putting up the curtain to section off the sleeping area from the work area and it'll all be done.
