Ryzer: January's escapades
I've decided to name posts of my dates with Raymond as ryzer. HAHA! So what the hell is ryzer?! RYZ stands for Raymond Yang Zhiwen and ER basically just comes from my name xinER. Wanted to put ryzonian but it just represents raymond so here it is....our combination. :P
I know my previous posts were all super bombarded by my US trip. It's finally over, just a few more haul posts which I'm still procrastinating. Ever since I got back on 3rd Jan, we'd actually been to many places to eat. I try to keep my camera with me all the time so I can take pictures and record down all the things we did together. Photos capture so many things that might trigger some memories which we might forget in the future. It's really a wonderful invention!
So, our first sinful foodie trip (back to the old days where we splurge on food like it's nothing) was at Skinny Pizza. I've only been there once on TianHon's birthday and that was it. I'd always wanted to revisit the restaurant because I really like the squid pizza.
My hair was rather oily so I braided it up.
Instead if just braiding it all the way, I created a messy bun at the side. Just put in some bobbie pins to secure it. Super fast, done in less than 3mins.
We ordered the combination of 3 sides which I didn't take any photo because they took a freaking long time to serve and we were both famished. Again, they took another freaking long time to serve the pizza which apparently the order got stucked somewhere so it wasn't sent to the kitchen. Best thing is that we were sitting there for so long and the waiters just keep coming to clear away our plates and totally ignored the fact that we were obviously waiting for the pizza. Until we asked one of the waiters regarding our order then they realised it wasn't sent in. -.-" Luckily we already ate the sides, otherwise I would definitely be very angry.

Ryz was so good, he accompanied me to my makeup even though I know he was only hitching a ride on my cab. But at least he was there with me. Otherwise......it would have been real boring. He's always up to something hilarious to cheer me up.
I wasn't feeling very well that day. Was feeling really queasy the whole day and had to stand from 3:30pm till 7pm to do makeup. No matter how much I love makeup, doing it when I feel sick just sucks.
Also, I have been having a super bad break-out. Pimples all over my forehead ever since I got back from the States. WTS! At first I was still very hardworking, I would put on makeup and conceal as much as I can. But after almost 20 days being attacked by these tiny yet destructive pimples, (yes, they're that hated by me and probably everyone) I gave up. Now, you'll just see me with my bare face. I only put on my moisturisers and sun block.

Just last friday, both of us were feeling more "adventurous" and we wanted to go somewhere far (from north) and nice to eat. So after reading some blogs about the Strangers Reunion, I wanted to give it a try and we went.
There were many of these vintage/nyoya/old-fashioned looking houses near the place we parked. Looked like those houses in Little Nyoya.
When I saw this sign, I was like, "What are CHOOS?" I guess it sounds like shoes? haha
We rarely visit these places especially in SG so I asked Ryz to take some photos together. I had quite some fun editing the photos adding in some vintage and sepia effects. haha!
Don't you think this back alley resembles those Channel 8 shows where there would be some gangsters fighting or some robbery would happen here? LOL
We went there on Friday and hence, there wasn't any brunch served because it's not weekend!!! Dayummmm...
I thought the coffee served was good. After all, the barrister is a National Champion? haha

I wasn't that impressed with the food. Neither was Raymond. I probably wouldn't revisit it again, at least not for meals.
After the meal, we wanted to get some sweet treats and I recalled that Grin Affair was really near and we drove over. True enough, it was really near. Just switching from one carpark to the other across a small road.
Then, we went to Mount Alvernia to visit R's aunt who gave birth to a Baby girl - Sophie. CONGRATS!
On the way, we saw rainbow....so pretty.

Then on Saturday, I had another makeup assignment at Regent hotel and dear raymond drove me there and waited for me. I feel so loved and doted. Thanks!!!!! xoxo
We went for dinner after that at Plaza Singapura. He wanted to eat at Manhattan Fish Market and so we went to queue. Apparently, they're having this promotion where you can get something like a platter for one with complementary drink and soup for only $14.90. Furthermore, if you "Liked" their facebook page, that's another $2 off and they gave us $2 off per person! woo!

If I were to really comment about the food......they were so-so only. The soup actually tasted like what Aston's serves. Other than that, it wasn't really memorable but it was definitely considered quite cheap with the offer. Only about $15 per person when the bill came.

We walked around the new extension of PS which I haven't been to as well. I sound like some sua ku please. haha! I guess I literally just kept staying at home when he was away. Now, I'm out again.
Off to some sweet treats and tea.
Only Raymond will be such a good sport and join me for any kinds of foods at various places. Maybe that's also the reason why I became so fat before he left. Now that he's back, I think there's a very high possibility that I'll become super fat again. LOL!
SELF-CONTROL PLEASE!!!!!
