Graduation Trip | Triple Date
Third post is up! Before I flew off to the East Coast and start the "real" trip, we went out with two other couples, Jayson&Serena and Audrey&Shengyu. We were going to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium but before that we had lunch at A.w. Shucks.

There were 6 of us so we went in 2 different cars. Raymond rented a Saturn car from getaround.com and Jayson rented a Chrysler from the normal car rental companies. Of course, our rent was dirt cheap compared to his. If you happen to be travelling in the States or planning to go to the States, you might want to consider getaround.com though it is definitely a little bit more troublesome as you will have to pick the car up from the owner. But rest assured, insurance included so no worries about accidents/scratches.
Anyway, Audrey was the one driving the rest of them in the cool car and she was really going super fast. But with Raymond's superb driving skills, we still reached first. LOL! I made sound like it's a race.
Their serving were super big, I shared a bowl of Rose Clam chowder and fish&chips with Raymond. We couldn't finish the F&C though. The serving was just too big for me.
After the hearty meal, we walked around Carmel for awhile. I have to say that this place is really very quaint and artsy. They have so many different art galleries along the streets, small and cosy cafes and etc. Look at how happy Raymond is in this photo after we visited a garden art gallery before we head off to his playground aka Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Two high people trying to navigate using the map of Carmel. HAHA.
Usual touristy photos taken with the sign/logo haha
I shall not bore you with the photos of fishes like what I did when I went to Bangkok in 2011. I have to say that it was quite a disappointment as I was expecting a lot more. I thought the Bangkok one was more interesting.
Since it's winter, the sun sets very early. I think this photo was taken at around 4:30pm.
One last photo of us :)
We ended the night with delicious Japanese meal back at Shoreline and also watching The Hobbit. Both of us were so tired, we were dozing off at some point during the show. It was a freaking long show. I still prefer LOTR compared to this. The Hobbit is just too draggy for me. And I prefer Frodo than the young Bilbo Baggins. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful day!
