Graduation Trip | NYC II

Here comes NYC Part II! We visited quite a few more tourist attractions such as Empire State Building, The High Line, Brooklyn Bridge etc. We paid for about USD$50+ per person for the express pass to get to the top of Empire State Building which David kept saying that we got cheated because it wasn't express at all! (which is kinda true).

There's the first queue where you have to go through the security check, second queue to get the tickets for the 3D experience thingy which requires you to queue twice to listen to the history of Empire State Building and some stuff about 9-11. After the 3D thing, there's another queue to go to the lift which will bring you to the viewing area which was fenced up. We spent at least 1.5 - 2hours before we reached the top.

But the view was magnificent! Though I hoped that there was no fence. Why didn't they just use some clear class panel instead of these ugly metal bars. The experience would have been so much better. There were a lot of people there and you literally had to squeeze you way to the bars to get a good view. 

We took a lot more shots than what I posted because they all look kind of similar so I don't see the point of putting them up. Raymond had a thing about sceneries so he made me take tons of photos of him either looking at the buildings or just a typical tourist photo like this one below. But I'm still grateful for him taking so many nice photos of me. My photog skills are really like a cui (means lousy). So, I was glad that he didn't demand as much from me this time round because he used to get angry when I couldn't get "that" photo that he wants. HAHA!

The High Line
This is a public park built on an historic freight rail line. They say it's best to visit The High Line in Spring as the flowers would be blooming and the plants would be a really nice scenery. Though the plants were all dried up when we were there, the view around this old rail way made the visit worth it.

Raymond was trying to get really nice shots and he did. I played with the effects on Photobucket for a bit though. Haha. How do you like the rustic and vintage feel of this photo? 

Yes, we visited Central Park again and we happened to pass by "The Apple Store".

We tried to attend one of the Christmas mass at St Patrick's Cathedral. Too bad, the church was under renovation so we couldn't take nice photos of the exterior.

We also visited the Brooklyn Bridge where the view was breath-taking. Your eyes can really feast on the many many architectures of NYC. AWESOME!

This was one of the few decent shots taken by passer-bys. Other shots were really badly taken like they really focussed on us. For example, when we were at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, a very helpful, deep-voice man helped us to take a photo against Mr Lincoln's legs when Mr Lincoln was right behind us. ROFL!

In fact, we actually visited a lot more places like Times Square, McGee's Pub (HIMYM), Woodbury (Outlet) etc etc but we didn't take photos with a camera. I had them with my iPhone so they're not that decent. HAHA. How good can an iPhone camera be right? (especially in the night)
