Graduation Trip | NYC I

We spent almost a good whole week in New York and I guess it gave us a lot of time to explore many parts of this amazing concrete jungle. Sadly, we didn't. LOL. First thing we did when we arrived was to find our hotel, Holiday Inn. We were so confident, bought the unlimited metro card, hopped onto the metro, walked a few kilometres and found ourselves to be at the wrong Holiday Inn :X #outofwords In the end, we took a cab over to the correct one which is thank God at a better location! It's walking distance to Central Park, Times Square and the bar that inspired How I Met Your Mother!!!!

It was simply Legen-waitforit-dary!

So, our first stop after we put our luggages was a pub! It was late in the night and we wanted to get a drink which also kick-started our nightly drinking sessions at different pubs. And when I say nightly, I literally meant every single night in NY was drinking session! I can't drink for nuts, especially beer. This single trip increased my beer-tolerant level by a bit. Yay or nay? haha. So, I have to say these are really sinful nights given how we ordered the tapas. Every night we'll order baffalo wings/calamari rings/baked cheesy potatoes like thingy/etcetc. Plus, my favourite beer now - STELLA! haha! I guess Miller Lite is not bad as well :)

First stop of the 2nd day (we reached NY in the night) was Central Park. Yes, the legendary Central Park! You really can't say you've visited NY if you haven't visited Central Park. It's a really beautiful place that contrasts with the mega skyscrapers.

Try to act all artsy fartsy with these photos of the clouds, blur sky and trees. I guess this place will be so much more beautiful during Spring when all the trees are filled with leaves and blooming flowers.

Then we visited MET. Yes, another museum which we managed to get student's price again. HEEHEE! To be honest, by this day, I was already very sick of museums since we already visited so many in DC. I have to admit that I am really not an artistic person when it comes to these kinds of abstract art. I can hardly appreciate the drawings and etc when my feet hurts like hell from all the walking.

But I still continued because R said that this is one of the most famous museums and I must visit them. So I did.

Trying my very best to fit in and act like I'm enjoying. But it didn't last long. LOL

I think we weren't allowed to take photos at this area but crazy/adventurous R forced me to take his signature photos again. He can't help but MUST and HAVE to look at Mao. -.-"

And, of course, Marilyn Monroe. I risked being kicked out of the museum!!!

One of the most memorable exhibit that I remember would be a corner filled with candies that everyone can take! GLUTTON! haha!

Then, we visited the train station where Dan Humphrey was at in one of Gossip Girl's episode. HAHA!

This is another amazing place we found. On the diagonal corners of this place, you can actually communicate with the person through the walls. It's like you holding a cup and a string attached to another cup and talking to the other person on the other end. The difference would be that at this place, you talk to the wall and the person diagonally opposite you can hear and reply! WOAH!

We ended the night at Rockafella centre and more drinking after that:)

The NY trip was so long but we hardly took photos after that. Mainly because it was too cold for me to take out my hands and operate the camera. HAHA! But there will be one more post about NY and another about Boston and I'll be done with my Graduation trip!

I will be posting more beauty/makeup/hair posts real soon! Stay tuned!

Cya!
