Review: Ma Cherie Air Feel Shampoo and Conditioner

Ma Cherie
I have been using Ma Cherie products since 2009. I started with Milky Water Mist - Airy Wave. It's for curly hair and I had my hair permed in Taiwan's EROS - famous salon. In any case, I also read the book written by one of their stylist who also happens to be a famous and highly sought after hairstylist in Taiwan - Lu Xiao Man. She introduced quite a number of products from Shiseido Ma Cherie line which I thought I could give it a try since I'm in Taiwan. Subsequently, I also bought a few other products when I visited Taipei last year with my family. My mother also fell in love with their products. Too bad, it isn't sold in Sg until recently.

In my October haul post, I mentioned that I found these products at Venus. It was priced at $14.90 per bottle if I didn't recall wrongly. It's a little expensive compared to the other drugstore brands like L'Oreal or Dove. I still love them despite the price difference because they really deliver what was promised.

I bought the Air Feel Shampoo and Conditioner. I've used it for almost a month already and I really love the smell, texture, the effects, the packaging and etc. Especially the Ma Cherie's emblem - gives the royal feel doesn't it? haha

Basically, I have very fine hair which is really soft as well. This resulted in super flat hair especially when I only have natural wavy hair - slightly only. This means that it's neither 100% nor 100% wavy. The worst part of it is that I have very oily scalp and dry ends which I reckon is a common hair problem most Singaporeans face given our climate, humidity and what not. So, I actually alternate this shampoo with my other shampoo from Asience which is for oily scalp and dry ends. I also mentioned in my previous review on Essential's hair mask that I use that twice a week. So that's my hair care routine.

Back to the Air feel shampoo and conditioner. The descriptions for these two products are really similar and I've summarised them below:

Deep hair repair and nourishment
Platinum-Glossy finish
Ma Cherie fragrance

For the point regarding hair repair and nourishment, the conditioner does leave the hair smooth and easy to comb through with a brush. But for the shampoo, not so much. I never came out of shower without conditioner so I can't really tell if the shampoo smoothens then hair but from what I feel from my wet hair before I apply my conditioner, they feel tangled. It's the conditioner which obviously conditions the hair ends.

My hair does look a lot healthier after I started using this shampoo. I'm thinking of buying the Moisture shampoo to alternate with this one. It can probably then provide deep hair repair and nourishment for my hair.

As for the fragrance, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SMELL!!! Although it doesn't stay on for a long time, the smell that's on my hair when I just get out of shower is heavenly! It has this sweet floral scent which is not overly sweet. It smells really really nice!

In conclusion, I'm going to continue using these products. I also have Ma Cherie's end cure milk which I bought in Taipei. It works wonderfully with the shampoo and conditioner but I'm using it sparingly because I haven't found that in Singapore :(
