The accident

Dear blog,

I got into a serious accident last Friday. It was a horrifying experience. I don't think I would dare to drive again in the near future. I am even scared when I pass by the place on the bus.

It just stopped raining and the floor is wet. I was on my way home after tuition at 611 Yishun, near CCHY. I was happy because I was going to go back to watch TBBT with Raymond.

He told me to take my time because he's still watching some other shows and so there was no rush.

When I approached the bend at Yishun Ring Road, near Shell, Yishun Church and the back of Jiemin Primary School, I don't know what happened. I tried to slow down as usual when I approached the bend but my brakes did not respond, I couldn't feel the car slowing. Next thing I know, the steering wheel turned and I couldn't bring it back straight.

Everything happened so fast, by the time the car stopped, I was already on the pedestrian walk. I was lucky to get out alive with only some bruises here and there. There was no cars or pedestrians. No one was hurt except for the car.

It was the most scary and shocking experience of my life. I have never shivered so badly in my life. The first person I thought of was Raymond. I wanted to call him but I can't find my phone. Everything flew out from my bag and fell all over the place.

A passer-by called the police and kindly lent me his phone. I tried calling my Mom first but she didn't pick up. Then, I called my uncle who didn't pick up as well. Finally, my aunt picked up and she was home and very near. She came immediately. I'm thankful for that. Family is the best.

I texted Raymond after and I was still shocked. I guess I'm still very afraid now. I kept thinking of the possibility of me hitting someone or another car.

The paramedic said that I was really lucky to be alive.

Though it's going to cost me a bomb now, I'm glad that I'm alive.
