Review: Simple Toner and Moisturiser
Another piping hot review for you! I've fallen in love with this product ever since I mentioned in my Haul post back in October. This product is so good. It's gentle on my skin and I love that it has vitamins. I finished the first bottle a few weeks back and had started on my second one. You can get it at any beauty shops like Venus or Tomato, even Watsons or NTUC but I think Venus sells it at a cheaper price. Don't ask me why, I don't know.
I'm actually using their Soothing Facial Cleanser as well but will only be reviewing on the toner and moisturiser today. So, the facial toner contains a few major components/vitamins which are good for your skin.
The toner. |
So, I will pour the toner onto a cotton pad and apply it only my face. I will tend to stay on particular parts of my face like my T-zone and cheeks where the pores are slightly bigger for a little longer or just pat it on these area more frequently.
Next! Simple's Kind to Skin hydrating Light Moisturiser. I just started using this product for a few weeks and have been loving it thus far. It contains two wonderful Vitamins - Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E.
Pro-Vitamin B5, also known as Panthenol, is the alcohol form of Vitamin B5. When applied onto the skin and absorbed in, it transformed into Vitamin B5 which has the natural abilities of moisturising, soothing, healing and regenerating the skin. It relieves itchiness, pain and reduces redness. More information about the benefits of Pro-vitamin B5 can be found at livestrong.com.
Vitamin E, which I'm sure many of you know that it's amazing for the skin, is an antioxidant which helps in protecting and repairing your skin. Antioxidants neutralises free radicals which we are exposed to almost everyday. Vitamin E is something our body is unable to produce and hence, it is important to provide your skin with this important vitamin. Antioxidants also helps to prevent signs of aging. More information about Vitamin E can be found at howstuffworks.com.
After applying the moisturizer |
The other hand without moisturizer |
You can see from the two photos that one is more glossy and shiny due to the hydration from the product which the other one looks more dull and dry. If I put my hands side by side, you can even see the skin tone difference! haha! This is because I have the habit of putting products onto the left hand before I apply it on my face.
I have to say these two products have been really essential in my beauty routine these days and I have been using them every single day without fail. If you have dry skin, you can use the moisturiser in the day, otherwise, just use it at night. It helps you repair your skin while you sleep or locks in the moisture that you need in the day.
There won't be a favourites post this month since I'm reviewing on quite a few products which I love already!
