OCTOBER FAVOURITES!!!(+mini reviews)

Back to my favorites! #1 on the list is none other than St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub Invigorating. I didn't like the idea of using scrub as I think it's too harsh on your skin. But I tried this on my limbs and back for the past 1 month and I see tremendous improvement in my skin conditions. Note that I didn't mention face. I DO NOT USE SUCH SCRUBS ON MY FACE!

I use it twice a week and apply a moisturising lotion after. To be specific, the Victoria Secret one which I did a brief introduction on in another post. It removes the dead skin on my limbs and my skin tone is visibly fairer and brighter. The small beads are not harsh on your body at all. Sometimes I might just give myself the luxury of scrubbing all over. It feels super super super SMOOTH! I can't emphasize how smooth my skin is now after using this product, probably never so smooth ever since I was a baby when I had baby skin. Definitely a must buy! AWESOME!

#2 on the list would be my Artistry Balancing Foundation. I actually got this quite some time back and took it out to use again recently. I'm almost finishing this bottle already and I'm in love with it again. Though it's quite pricey but that's the price you pay for a good liquid foundation. This is not a drugstore brand. You can get it from any Amway Distributor. I would say it provides medium to high coverage. For me, I have oily skin and this foundation helps to control the shine. My makeup lasts so much longer since the oil secretion is under control. I have no idea how it does that or maybe it works with my Urban Decay De Slick to keep the shine off me. If you don't have oily skin, you can try the Artistry Hydrating Foundation. I'm guessing it would be as fabulous as this one. I love that it has SPF 20 and PA+++ as well. It provides the UV protection that I need when I travel to school under the hot sun in our sunny Singapore.

I put it on the back of my hand and blended with the precision sponge shown below. It's really creamy and easy to apply.

Before and After photos after applying the foundation. You can see that I still have some very stubborn pimples (that time of the month :@) that couldn't be covered by the foundation.

#3 Benefit's Erase Paste. I actually have a love-hate relationship with this product but it works so well in concealing my blemishes and pimples which I'm having now during the period of the month again. wts! how many of you have this same problem as me? The hormones drive me crazy, mood swings and worst of all - PIMPLES! damn.
The Erase paste works well for the above but it sucks at concealing my dark eye circles. As I have allergy and my nose is super sensitive, I have like permanent dark eye rings which I'm still in search of a perfect concealer for it. My next target would be the Bobbie Brown ones. Will do a review when I get hold of one. Back to this little pot, it creases under my eyes and I already have fine lines under my eyes at the age of 22 thanks to rubbing of my itchy eyes when my nose is allergic to dusts and whatsoever. It has quite a thick consistency which makes it too heavy as an undereye concealer as well. BUT, i have been using it to cover my blemishes whenever I put on makeup nowadays. Apply with a brush to avoid digging it with your fingers and to get the perfect coverage.

A small amount goes a long way for this product.

You can see that I applied it to the undereye as well. Wanted to show how sucky it is if you have fine lines. Do not buy this to cover dark eye circles if you have fine lines like me! But you can also see that my pimples are well-taken care of, they're almost completely gone except for the one on my forehead which is bulging so it can only be concealed with a more heavy duty concealerrrrr... :(

You can see how the concealer got into my undereye fine lines instead of concealing it, it got worse!!! but it works on my pimples ;)

#4 Awesome stuff here! It's the Sephora eyelash curler! I bought this when I was in the States and only started using it recently. It's definitely cheaper than my Shu Uemura one which I loved but this is one amazing piece of makeup tool everyone should have. This back padding is not too hard which allows my straight down lashes to curl nicely. The width is just nice for my eyes (typical asian eyes) and the curvature fits my eyes wonderfully. My Shu Uemura one was good but it wasn't as curvy as the Sephora's. I might just buy another one when I go USA this december since it's cheaper there than in Singapore.

Same photo but this is to show how the curler works:) You can see that my lashes are actually visible from the front.

Last but not least, #5 Sephora's Precision Sponge, I don't know if it's the same as the beauty blender but this little yellow sponge here works magic! It leaves an air-brush finish and blends really well. I use the wider side to apply foundation and the narrow side to go into the corners of my nose and my under eyes (basically areas that are harder to reach with the wider end). This looks dirty because I just used it today. I keep it in the box after I use it instead of laying it anywhere. Great stuff! I even use it to blend out my Shu Uemura UV underbase mousse.

Final Before and After photos after I used the products:)

I hope you enjoyed! Tried any of the products and have different opinions or better products to recommend? Comment!!!

Till the next, CIAO!
