Asymmetrical Hairstyle and Brown Makeup
This is already Week 6 for NUS academic year 2012/2013. My last semester. Although I kept complaining about school work and all but I do have beautiful memories in NUS. I made so many friends that I'm so thankful to have.
I'm sorry if I made you guys feel like you're spare tyre because I was always with Raymond when he's in Singapore. But, this semester I'm really very caught up with school work, tuitions and makeup. I will definitely make it up to you guys. I promise. Let's go out during recess week!
Everyone makes new friends at different stages of their life. My closest friends are my secondary school friends which most of them come from the same primary school as me. Though we're mostly separated now, we are still close. I have to say I was too "mugger" when I was in JC and I didn't really make many friends, at least not close friends. I was really disappointed with myself during O levels because my school life was so vibrant and fun-filled, my studies was compromised. At A levels, I was the direct opposite, I studied really hard. But my social circle was compromised.
After I met Raymond, he taught me how to enjoy life and also achieve a balance between work and play. Though I'm not doing very well in university now, I gained many valuable experiences and friends. I'm able to appreciate life better, no longer just a "study-machine" that our society created.
I actually have got two essays to write but I'm just not in the mood to do it now. XinEr, STOP PROCRASTINATING!!!
Enough of these emo shit. I'm here with a little update! I was in the "make myself up" mood yesterday so I did a proper makeup and hair:) My new friend, Hyun Jin, said I looked ver different and pretty. HEE! HAPPY LEH!
Ignore the eyes, it's like that naturally, I'm just lazy to adjust the double eyelids to balance it. I don't want to look like I'm going all out when I'm only going to school. HAHA.
But, the hair is really simple, just a simple french braid on my side with less hair so I can tuck the rest of the hair to the back so it looks like an asymmetrical hairstyle. Just bobby pin it under another layer of hair by pinning it horizontally so the pins won't be popping out of the hair awkwardly. As my hair colour is rather light so the effects look not bad. You can also do it with black hair but you might want to tie it tighter so the different sections of hair will look more distinct. Else, you'll just look like you pin up your hair to the side.
I only incorporated hair from the front so that it's easier to pull to the back. If you like, you can also do a normal french braid by taking hair from both sides.
I was so in love with my lashes yesterday! I used Maybelline's Volum' Express - the Falsies to first thicken my lashes then used Lashionista to lengthen my pathetic short lashes. This is what I got! Yay! Visible lashes. HAHA! For the eyeshadow, I just used the brownish and taupe colours from my Naked palette with my brown gel eyeliner from MAC. I'm really into gel liner these days. They last so long and do not smudge. Those from Maybelline are equally good if you don't want to spend so much.
I recently got a comment on my blog on the Hairstyles for school and ramblings as a student post. I was like super duper happy when I saw that comment. Though I don't know who she is, I'm still really grateful. I only became more active with blogging this year maybe because I had more free time since R is gone but it has slowly become part of me. I want to blog. Just feels really good penning/typing down my thoughts. I think I would laugh at myself next time when I reread these posts but these are a part of me that I want to remember forever.
