Removing makeup has always been a very important step in my beauty routine. After applying so many products (foundation, concealer, powder, eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner), it is crucial that they are removed from my face so that my skin can fully absorb the facial products (serum, moisturizer etc) when I apply them before I sleep without anything blocking in my pores.
So, I always like to keep my fringe and hair away so that it won't get so messy. To ensure that you do not bring any dirty/germs/whatsoever to your face, always sanitize your hands. Keep your hands clean at all times when you have any contact with your face. I'm using a hand sanitizer from The Body Shop, a gift from Raymond:), it has this sweet strawberry smell which always make me feel very sweet :)
As I have combination skin, with my T-zone being extremely oily, I usually opt for gel base makeup remover and here I'm using Ettusais's gentle make off. Use approximately 3-4 pumps depending on how big your face is then apply it to your face. I love to apply it by going in a circular motion.
I tend to use only my middle and ring finger so I do not apply too much pressure on my face.
Then, with L'oreal's gentle lip and eye makeup remover and a cotton pad, I remove my eye makeup. After shaking the bottle so that the two liquid mix well, I will wet my cotton pad generously. Position it on top of my eyes, I will wait for around 5-8 seconds before removing the cotton pad in a downwards motion so that I can take away the mascara. I will repeat this step until all the eye makeup is removed. Similarly, because the eye area is more delicate than any other parts of the face, be gentle as well.
Lastly, I washed my face with my cleanser and also with this helpful device Clarisonic Mia which I bought in the USA but you can definitely find it in any local Sephora. This is so good, it will take away any remaining makeup that was not removed the first time round. This is one awesome stuff that you must get hold of to make sure your face is thoroughly cleansed! Highly recommended.
You can check this video by Tanya out to find out how to use it :)

But if this is not within your budget, you might want to try Olay ProX Cleansing System http://www.amazon.com/Olay-Advanced-Cleansing-System-0-68-Fluid/dp/B0043OYFKU
but i haven't tried using this before so I don't know if it's as good.
