Travelogue 7 - Yellowstone Day 2 & 3
Yellowstone Day 2:)
We set off rather late on day 2 because we were simply too tired from Day 1. And I drove to the park on that day. It was actually both exciting and frightening. Firstly, I kept steering to the right as I'm not used to the left side driving and you can really drive super fast! I've never driven so fast in my life!
Look at how tightly I'm holding onto the steering wheel and forcing a smile because I know R was taking a photo of me. I literally stepped all the way in on the accelerator because I had to cut some cars along the way on a two-way road. It was super scary as I do not know if I can definitely make it before crashing head on with the oncoming traffic.
This was along the way when we drove down.
R's signature emo photo
This is Madison River again. HAHA!
There are simply too many beautiful and breath-taking views in Yellowstone. Like a WOW!
We watched a short documentary about Yellowstone at one of the Villages there. It made us know many many more about Yellowstone.
We walked all the way down to the South Rim of the canyon of yellowstone. It was crazy but the view there is just........indescribable with words.
Another super nice American helped us:) so thankful! really...
This is at the other side of the waterfall. I look so photoshopped. Same for R.
We attended some campfire thingy and found out more about Elks. Biggest population in the park! Then, we just slept in the car overnight at one of the car parks. It was freezing!!!!!
Day 3 <3
We woke up at 5am because it was really too cold to continue sleeping and both of us needed to go to the restroom. It was almost 3 degrees celsius!
We wanted to go somewhere else to sleep before the crowd comes in but in the end, R drove around because the views in the morning - just AWESOME!
Trying to catch a glimpse of the bears faraway
After this, I just knocked out for a long time. Really too tired and finally the sun was up and it's warm enough to sleep properly.
The wind here was extremely strong and I couldn't really stand out there for more than 5 minutes.
The trip to Yellowstone National Park is probably one of my best and most valuable experience throughout this US trip. We have a 15-year promise to come back here in the winter together so that we can spot some wolves. So many animals we saw but not a single wolf, sad.
