Food Hunt 1
Since my darling will be leaving Sg for 1 whole year, we've decided to indulge ourselves in the food!!! Luckily, we have his auntie and uncle to come with us so we can have more variety since we share.
First stop, we just wanted dinner after a movie at Cathay Cineleisure. Walked past Trattoria in 313@Somerset and decided to give it a try:)
This is currently my favourite beer:) Erdinger!
Raymond had some sweet clams/mussels pasta or something.
It was a little too plain for me. I like foods that are more savoury.
This is mine! Crab meat pasta in tomato sauce!
I think Raymond found mine better as well. hahaha!
After that, we met up with his auntie and uncle to have durian at Ang Mo Kio (fruits stall opposite the MRT). Then, to Changi for Changi Nasi Lemak and Red jelly and longan. Though I only eat a bit from Raymond's serving, I was bloated!!!!!!
The next day, we made our way to Kelantan Lane to try the famous 31 Sungei Road Laksa.
It's those kind that you do not need to use a pair of chopsticks because all the noodles has been cut into small pieces that you can scoop up using a spoon:) Even though it does not have that much side food like crab stick and etc, I thought it was better than the Yishun one. Definitely worth a try!
Off to Hong Lim Food Centre immediately where his uncle ordered 2 full size kway chap and pig's trotters which I was so full I only ate some. After these 2 mega local delights, his uncle order 1 carrot cake and cha kway tiao. GOSH! I only took two mouths of it.
After the intense eating, we walked past this wanton noodle stall that has such good business that they can have 2 stalls side by side. His uncle ordered a takeaway and he said it was really nice.
WOW! This food centre is full of treasures!
Yesterday, we went to MBS, all thanks to dear DELVIN! Went there after amplify's meeting and had lunch with Raymond at Outback Steak House located in Millenia Walk Level 1.
KILL YOUUU!
Hide behind the promotional pamphlet and act like nothing happened.
Too bad, don't act already! I will kill you!
This bread and butter was served before the soup came. I think they make their own bread and it is really nice! It's hot when served and the bread is really soft and tasty!
As we ordered the lunch set meal, it comes with a soup of the day and a drink! When I asked for the soup of the day, the waitress told me it's tomato soup and immediately my mind popped out the "eeeyyyyerrr" look cause I had bad experiences with Tomato soup at other restaurants.
But this one is different. The taste of the soup is great! It has real tomato cubes inside which luckily were not too sour. The herbs and spices that they served it with brought out the taste of the soup even better. It gave the soup a very nice smell as well.
YAY! Here comes our main course! I ordered pork chop and the meat was very tender. It was also very well-marinated. YUMMY!
Raymond ordered Chicken Parmesan. It's basically fried chicken (which they fried it SUPERDUPER WELL!) topped with pasta sauce (I think) and a layer of cheese melted on top. It was served with rice and vegetables.
After which, we walked around MBS Shoppes looking for coffeebean so we can sit down, have a drink and just relax.
No worries, we did not order food again.
We sat beside the waterfall thingy and they had these small notification device on every table so that customers can get help from the crew easily. I hate it when I have to wave my hands so hard and high up and the service crew still can't see me. This device is WONDERFUL!
I had tea cuz I wanted to cleanse my digestive systems from all the oils that I've taken in.
Raymond had a banana milkshake which he highly recommends!
It was dripping drop by drop when we first reached but after a while it became a mega tornado! ok, I exaggerate.
At night, we had MBS buffet at Rise.
They do have a good spread of bread.
World's best boyfriend to help me de-shell/unshell (idk) prawns!
The bill went up to $161 for two pax. I would not recommend to have buffet here as the spread is rather disappointing. Most of the food tastes so-so as well. For the same price, I would rather choose The Line.
